A strip based on a conversation I was having with a friend of mine about love. I realized some of thing things I had been saying, taken out of context without further elaboration, sounded ridiculous.
AND VOILA. Ha ha. I wrote about my actual thoughts here; [link] |

I love this--the last panel, I mean.
I really like how you can convey so much in your postures. ;ul

A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.
I've come to find that there's also a certain energy level that needs to be met within a certain range.
Like, there are some people that I can only be around for a certain amount of time before I start feeling physically drained. As if their high energy 'motor' so to speak has used up all of my fossil fuel and I can't keep up.
And on the flip side, if their energy is too low, I feel like I have to drag them along against their will to do things other than watch tv or draw.
Not to say that all tortoises have to be with tortoises and hares with hares, but then again, how often do you see a hare dating a tortoise?
I've know people who I thought were cool but were just too "fast" for me. In social situations they'd be a bit too hyper or extroverted, and I think if I dated someone like that I'd feel left behind.
Conversely, I've known people who aren't energetic enough, or aren't motivated enough. Like you said, you really gotta drag ideas and thoughts out of them, or push them to do something with their life.
Strangely, these qualities can sometimes be found in the same people. Ha ha.
