GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!! This totally made my night! SO COOL! I love how delicately you drew her arm and hand! <3 And even though her outfit is so complex (I can never draw it right, lol) you managed to paint it well AND make it look so simple...!
(Also, you may already know this, but I find flattening out the drawing with a dictionary (or other heavy book thing) roughly the same size of the paper while scanning the drawing can help a lot when it comes to scanning watercolor paintings.)
Gahaha! Her butt is big! XD And she has a pikachu circle on her cheek! *A* SO CUTE
There's no way I could complain about something as awesome as this, but one thing that does stand out to me is the... lack of a line around her face? Hmm. That's not quite it, but I guess the lightness of her skin seems to blend in with the background a bit.
Uwwaaaah! Super long comment, but! Hee! This is just so cool! Thanks for doing a watercolor art trade with me (PART ONE, YEAAAHH)! I'll definitely do my best with your Paveline!!! Definitely got your impression of a background going on there... I'll try my best too! *all pumped up*
Thanks so much! Yeah I was looking at her outfit and it looked so complex. Then I drew it and thought... hey this looks so simple! What'd I do!? Ha ha.
Also that's a good tip for scanning! I'll try it next time.
Yeah her but is so big... bigger than usual somehow.
And yeah... I see what you mean with the face. There is a contrast there, but it's light, and I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't show up on your monitor. i know most people's are brighter than mine.
Don't worry about length, I love long comments! ha ha. I'm excited about your Paveline drawing!!
Hmmm! I hope I can absorb your Elly-outfit-drawing-skills through Osmosis or something! XD
Yeah, tell me if the dictionary thing works for you!
I guess she put on a bit of weight--Xenogears actually has character weights, and they change depending on things you eat or choices you make in the storyline. You can only see the visual impact of the characters weight at one special place in the game, but it's still a pretty cool idea. I got my characters to like 300 pounds once, lol. (Normally Elly is like a stick--she weighs like 99 pounds or something ridiculous.)
Yeah, this monitor isn't really ideal when it comes to colors. I'll have to compare it to some others.
Ha ha! Wouldn't you have to touch me to do that? Or at least be in the presence of my skills.
That weight thing is funny. Actually when I painted this I was in our apartment living room where all the games are, and I realized we had Xenogears. Maybe I'll play it!
My monitor is pretty good; I know this because when I print things out it's generally spot on. Ha ha.
Well, I live with three other people. I don't really keep track of the games they have. I hadn't played games much for the past few years so I didn't give the rack of games a close look until this winter. Ha ha.
Right now I'm playing Metal Gear Solid 3... even though I've played it before. I'm excited to pick up Xenogears though.
YES WE TOTALLY COULD <3 Provided you like it, that is... some people don't like all the dialog and stuff, but man! It's an awesome game. Especially all the little hidden items and conversations between characters... the music is excellent, too. (Yasunori Mitsuda is one of my favorite composers!)
I'm thinking about picking up MGS, though I'm not very good at shooting (or stealth) games nor do I like them particularly, I'd like to give it a try.
Right now I've started a new game of Harvest Moon for the PS1. Most addicting game in the world. <3 <3 <3 Wish I could play it right now! Should be writing little essays and puzzling out brain exploding math equations though!
Ha ha, well it sounds like it has everything I like in a game. Yasunori Matsuda is bomb, yo. Also from what I've seen I love the in game pixelly grpahics... kind of reminds me of Golden Sun.
You should give MGS a try; I didn't think I would like it that much but it's much different from other stealth/military/gun games. It's pretty funny but also has a great story/directing. People make fun of it for long cutscenes BTU I LOVE THEM. Ha ha.
Ha ha, I always wanted to play Harvest Moon but I never purchased it. However I did draw a picture of the kid and his dog from Harvest Moon 64 once.
I like it...

WOO
I'd totally recommend Xenogears! From the bottom of my heart! It's one of the best games out there.
(Plus it'd be pretty awesome if you got into the game, lol.)
Ah! Elly does look different on this monitor! And the paper is more soft and yellowy. =w=

(yes then we could fan about it together. Ha ha)
